Call me Gus
As soon as I say Agustus, they would say “Agusta?”
“No, that’s normally a girl’s name” I’d say.
When they attempt to write, it’s always with a ‘u’ after the ‘a’, which spells ‘augustus’.
“No, my name is without ‘u’. It’s not that I don’t like you, I just don’t have ‘u’ there.
And when they try to pronounce my name, it always sounds like Oh’gustus.
“No, my name is a’gustus, like, ‘a gust of wind’…”
That’s why I prefer to shorten my name to Agus, as in ‘ah, goose’.
“That’s like Indonesian for the month of August!” they’d say.
“Yes!”
So you’re Indonesian? No? Filipino? No? Are you sure?!
They don’t normally buy that I’m Malaysian, unless I include Sarawak in the picture. Even then, a gentleman told me once, “Are you sure? Cos I swear you’re so Filipino”
I always take it as a compliment. I’m different.
“Agus as in Bagus!” many say to start the ball rolling.
“I get that a lot, but yeah, BAGUS! Agus without the ‘B’, Agus B minus”
(Note: Bagus means 'Good' in Malay)
Sometimes they instantly say Sugus! It’s pretty old but I always try to be polite and let out a giggle all the time.
And just last weekend, I was at a birthday party with many new faces so people were chatting and introducing themselves.
“Sorry I didn’t get your name just now…”
“Oh, it's Agus”
I guess my voice must have got distorted by the crowd because he repeated “Anus?”

Redang and me...
And powder fine too. Isn't it time for you to drag your overworked ass to the ocean...?
A view from our suite. Sweet!
And did I say sweet?
Just me and the horizon. And still no trunks...
Looking up from our hut shades.
Evening approaches and we were still at the beach.
Plenty of time for reflection.
Doesn't this look like a shot from Survivor?
The moon was full, huge and bright during all three nights we were there.
Nice...
Yup, like this sequence of pictures, the four days three nights vacation felt like a one day event. We were left wanting for more.
Well, at least it's my birthday today. Now turn around and wish me happy birthday, bitch*...(*please ignore my rudeness, i'm just drunk. Click on the link and you'll see what I mean)

Nuff said!
I didn't bother taking pictures that night to fully enjoy the whole scene. Besides, almost every blogger is going to report on this; stories and pictures abound.
So I just chilled and let the professionals do the work.
Luck kept smiling as I hung out with the sarong party boys early in the evening and got myself sandwiched in between, thanks to the famous photographer 'kidchan'.
And who better to dish out the official report than the good people of Nuffnang themselves.
Featured in the fourth picture sequence, in a group of three people, as the second from left, in the first aniversary of Nuffnang; 4-3-2-1, nuff said!
Oh, and I ruined the shot for Dawn Yang and Xia Xue. Sorry ladies, didn't mean to enterframe, I was just waiting for the photographers to finish their shots before I walked back to my seat.
Aren't they just bursting with energy and charm? To the brim baby!

Sleep, scratch and score
Before you think I’m going to disclose my experience with the pole dancing, skimpy dressed lady from my previous post, I’m not, okay.
However, this one still has something to do with Borneo Baruk Club, a hot party and some scenes in bed.
I read Kenny’s blog and realized that there’s a party going on at Borneo Baruk Club next Saturday, by Nuffnang.
Dang, the submission deadline for this post is just two days away and I’m not even in their bloggers list. So I quickly signed up, bought some Chipsters and planned my bed scene.
You see, to be invited, members have to post something about Chipster and include a picture of them in their pajamas with packs of Chipster.
The theme is “I sleep better with Chipster”
Naturally, walking back from the store with three bags of Chipsters made me open one and voila, it even comes with a scratch and win card. Not bad, more ways to score! But of course, all I got was ‘wealth and good luck is coming my way’. What else is new right? Tell me it’s already in my pants for a change will ya!
Anyway, time to expose my bed scenes. But be warned, I sleep in my birthday suit, not that you’ll see anything obscene lah… but yeah, I own no pajama mama!
Out of the positive respondents,
80% said it is due to actual mild non-irritant itchiness.
12% said it is for instant relief, i.e. semi conscious pleasure
3% said it is habitual
5% has no reason at all.
Okay, I made that all up. But why do we scratch? The hair maybe?

Turn around b!
One table caught my attention though. A couple accompanied by a slightly overweight and tall woman. She was wearing a blue shirt and a khaki, probably got there from work. She may be big but her moves were groovy.
As the music picked up tempo and the band played the familiar funky sounds, more people got up and shook their booties. That was the time when I thought ‘what the heck, let’s dance with someone’, cos the only person drinking with me was my school mate, and he was not about to mingle with strangers, let alone dance.
So I slid into the big girl’s dancing circle and faced her. She was glad to have me and instantly took my hand. It only took her five seconds to say “turn around bitch!” and take total control. She hugged me like the small man that I am, made me swirl and practically sucked my neck!
“Shit! I’m the arms of octopussy!” I told myself.
“You’re drunk…!” I told her with a big and nervous smile.
She said nothing and continued to ‘make’ me dance, like a puppet master, profusely licking my neck.
“You’re really drunk aren’t you…” I told her again.
She just smiled.
‘Ok, don’t panic. Keep dancing and when she lets go, dance the opposite direction and pretend you really need a drink at your place’ I told myself.
When I finally got to my place, I took a big sip from my mug and told my friend all about the death dance.
He gave out a huge laugh and said ‘Yeah, I saw everything! Wanted to warn you about the probability but you did it anyway.’
How was I to know? All I wanted was a decent dance…
I avoided looking directly toward her direction for a while and just danced at my place. I was lucky she didn’t come for her second helping.
Good thing there was this mature looking lady in a skimpy outfit; good figure and moved like she’s done pole dancing all her life; looking my way. At least she provided the decoy. But yeah, that’s another story. And no, she didn’t tell this bitch to turn around.

Death floats
Now that's a big fish! Hands down!
Fish go to heaven.
